Knorr targets double-digit growth this year

Unilever’s food brand Knorr said it targets double-digit growth in the Vietnamese market this year.

Le Hoang Quang Nhat, Foods Senior Marketing Manager, told Việt Nam News on Thursday that the Vietnamese market is highly promising and the company has achieved good growth in the country.

Its growth had been in double digits last year too, he said.

To achieve the target it had researched and developed new products, he said.

On Thursday the company launched a new product, Knorr Natural, a seasoning powder made from natural materials and without glutamate, preservatives and pigments.

Nhựt said the brand is planning to develop luxury products in future to meet the increasing demand for organic products.

It is the first luxury product from his brand in Viet Nam, he said.

Knorr said before launching the new product it had studied the market demand for organic product and is confident of success even though the price might be 70 per cent higher than that of other products.

Knorr Natural is made from natural materials like corn powder, potato powder, salt, mushroom, herbs, and palm oil.

Knorr, which has been in Viet Nam since 2001, sells soup cubes, soup mixes, spices, and sauces. — VNS
