The first flight connecting Ha Noi and the Republic of Korea’s Incheon will be operated on April 26.

The airline will start operating flights to a couple of Taiwanese airports on April 27 with Ha Noi-Tainan and Da Nang-Taipei routes.

The following day, flights connecting Ha Noi and HCM City with Japan’s Ibaraki Prefecture will also be put into operation.

The flights will first be carried out as charter flights, meaning Bamboo Airways will co-ordinate with tour operators to provide tour packages to the Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Japan, as well as to bring tourists from those markets to Viet Nam.

Bamboo Airways Vice President and Deputy General Director Duong Thi Mai Hoa said the airline expects to meet increasing travel demand during the holiday from April 27 to May 1, as well as contribute to boosting trade between Viet Nam and the three potential markets.

According to Hoa, Bamboo Airways and Prague’s international airport have also inked a memorandum of understanding on the creation of a direct route between Ha Noi and Prague.

At present, the airline operates 17 domestic routes. Its fleet is expected to rise to 40, including aircraft such as Airbus A320, A321 Neo and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. — VNS
